Was It My Daughter or Grandfather?

Within the last year or so, I have seen things. I don't know the exact dates of the first and second incidents but I do know they happened towards the beginning of the year.

The first incident has happened twice. Both times, I was home alone on a Thursday night. My husband works till midnight on these nights. I was near my computer desk which is located near the kitchen doorway. I had the kitchen light and one light located on the opposite side of my living room turned on. As I said, I was standing near the computer when I thought I saw a small child about three years of age out the corner of my eye. Of course, when I looked, there was nobody actually standing there. What is kind of eerie about this is that I have a daughter that I lost when I was 35 weeks pregnant. If she was still alive, she would have been about three years old at the time of this incident. This same incident happened again a few weeks later.
Again I was home alone and near my kitchen when I had the same vision out the corner of my eye. Is my daughter trying to contact me? The next incident has happened about 5-6 times over the last few months. Each time it has happened I have been asleep in my bedroom.
Again, I was home alone. It was either on a Wednesday night (my husband has garage night with friends) or a Thursday night (my husband was at work). I had been asleep for about an hour when I awoke with a sudden start. Standing at the foot of the bed was a large manly-shaped figure. All I could see was the outline of a man. It seemed the longer I stared at this figure, the more it disappeared until it was completely gone. I don't recall my heart beating that fast but the bed appeared to be shaking right afterwards and my hands were very cold and clammy.
This has happened a few times.
The other times involved waking up with a sudden start again about an hour or so after I had been in bed. I awoke to see a "cloud" floating directly above me. I almost want to describe it as appearing like a cloud of cigarette smoke floating above me. The only problem with that is that nobody in my household smokes and we do not allow anybody else to smoke in our house when visiting. Again, the longer I stared at the "cloud", the more it disappeared and, soon after, the bed started shaking. My hands were also very cold and clammy once again. I looked for signs of fire but there was no fire.
The third incident happened October 26, 2006. Again, it was on a Thursday evening. I had just arrived home from work and decided to lay down on the couch with my chihuahua puppy for a while. This was at 6 p.m. Shortly before 7 p.m., I awoke with another sudden start and immediately looked into the kitchen. Standing at the kitchen sink was what appeared to be another large figure wearing a bright red sweatshirt. It appeared as if the figure was trying to get a drink of water. The weird thing about this is that there was no actual face to the figure. I couldn't really see any hands or legs either. I tried to focus my vision and the figure disappeared into the wood of the cupboard. This incident really freaked me out. To this day, I am still shaken by it. I really do believe that I saw something but what it was I am not sure.
