The Ghost in the Forest

One day, me and my friend Joseline were bored and decided to call each other. She decided to share with me a story about a spirit she encountered a few years prior. So, in 2016, my friend Joseline and her five cousins who had come from El Salvador for a month decided to have a sleepover in her aunt’s shed. Now, to note, the shed was pretty far away from her house since her aunt owned a lot of land, so it was pretty hard for her aunt to notice anything going on, but two of her cousins were over fifteen, so they were trusted to look after the young ones. At around 11:30 pm, the older cousins had decided that they wanted some snacks, but they were scared to wake up their aunt by going into the house. Instead, they decide to sneak out, despite their aunt telling them, whatever they do, don’t leave the shed at night. There was a 7-11 not too far away, maybe about two to three blocks that the older kids decided to walk to.
My friend was around eight years old, and even though she was in her rebellious stage she had heard about the killer clowns that were trending that year and was scared. She and her younger cousins went reluctantly with her older cousins to 7-11. They all get there, and everything is technically fine, but she says she feels something wrong, like the scene was eerie. She described a lot of fog outside and flickering lights to me inside the store and on the street. She had bought watermelon sour patch kids, but all her cousins had just stocked up on a bunch of snacks and put them in the bag. On their way back it was already midnight, and they had heard many branches cracking, and the wind became increasingly more aggressive. They walk through a small part of the woods to get around their aunts' house, and suddenly they see a translucent slighting white figure floating behind them with an evil glare. They all scream, and suddenly they have no air left in their lungs as they try to get away, they see the spirit following them no matter what they do. After a bit, they’re able to breathe normally again and are able to make it back to the shed.
While in the shed, they are all terrified and sitting in a circle in silence. The older kids start to slowly comfort the kids despite being horrified themselves. After about thirty minutes of this, they hear a loud bang along the side of the shed and again everyone screams. The older kids yell and apologize to the kids for making them go out when they knew they were not allowed to and had heard many stories warning against it. As they say this, they see the spirit once again in the window in the corner of the shed. All the kids huddle together in the corner and grab many blankets to cover themselves, being extremely scared of what is out there. The next thing my friend remembers is waking up around 6:00 am, still in shock and confused about what had happened the night before. When all the kids headed back to the aunt’s house when there was daylight, they were so obedient, listening to everything their aunt said and following all her instructions and requests. Despite their aunt showing major concern because none of the kids had acted to this extreme, none of the kids admitted what had happened to them the night before. That is until the next morning my friend finds a watermelon sour patch kid on her pillow and cloudy windows when she wakes up. She immediately screams and panics and her parents run to her and, she tells them everything that happened. Her parents contacted all the other parents and let them know what had occurred that day.
Ultimately, all the kids got in trouble for disobeying their aunt and putting themselves in danger and, because of this, all the kids got mad and turned against my friend Joseline. Now she is not close with any of her cousins and is deeply uncomfortable at family events since there is such hostility between her and her cousins. She also has a deep fear of being anywhere without an adult present or being out while it’s dark outside or disobeying her parents in any way.
