Stories From My Own Personal Experience

The stories you are about to read are based on facts as to what other people and I have been through regarding ghosts.

Ghost in the attic

The year was 1997 at around 3:00 a.m. I woke up because of a strange noise I had heard in the laundry room. After getting out of bed I slowly opened my door, and walked in the direction of the laundry room, there standing in the middle of the room was a figure with a strange dim light hovering around it. I ran up the stairs and tried to open the door leading to the main floor, but it was jammed. I screamed and screamed until the figure came up beside me. I looked into its face, and screamed. Finally, my dad came running down the hall to ask what I was screaming about I pointed to the figure standing in front of me. He said that there was nothing there. I told him that there was a ghost, he kept telling me that there was not, but I did not give up.

The next day I overheard him telling my mom over the phone. I told him that I wanted to talk to her. I started telling her the story of the night before and she told me that I was probably dreaming or something. Suddenly I heard a thud downstairs, and then my dog yelped as if she had been hurt. My dad told my mom that he would call her back. We ran downstairs and there in front of us was the same figure I had seen the night before, it was standing over my dog. Then my dad asked the figure what it wanted. It kept asking where is she, repeatedly. My dad asked the figure the same question as if questioning his question. Suddenly there was a scream from outside. The figure disappeared and I did not see until we went camping a few years later.

Camp Ground Horror at Bruce Peninsula National Park

A few years ago, I was camping up north at Bruce Peninsula National Park, it was about 2:30 in the afternoon, and my family and I went for a walk through the park. We went up to these rocks called grottos. Grottos are weird formations in rocks; they look like a hole that had been cut into them. Anyways I was walking next to my dad and I saw an animal that looked like a dog. I walked a few feet ahead of my parents; the animal looked at me strangely. I asked my dad why it was looking at me the way it was, my dad told me that it was just curious. I told him that it looked like he was looking at me as if I were food, my parents laughed at me.

That night I saw it again I had gone to clean up for supper this time it chased after me. I stood in one spot and screamed; finally, my dad came and asked me what I was screaming at, he then saw the coyote, and started throwing rocks at it; the coyote ran the other way and did not bother me anymore that day.

The next day as I went to brush my teeth and get ready for the long ride to Toronto, I saw the coyote and the same figure I had seen in 1997. I screamed for a long time before flying back about three feet and sliding another 4.5 feet across the ground. I sat on the ground and screamed for about 5 minutes and even when my dad came and tried to comfort me, I sat and told him that I had seen the same figure from the 1997. Then I heard a voice in the wind screaming, "Where is she?" I have not seen or heard from the figure until last year, but sometimes I am still haunted by its face, which I will tell you about later.

The figure returns

Friday, February 13, 2004 At about 2:30 p.m.

I had just finished my final class of the day, when I saw the figure once again, the face was more horrifying, and then the last two times I had seen it. It looked like someone who was possessed by the devil itself. Then it spoke to me. I trembled with every word that it said. I still do not understand what it wants. All I really know is that it will not leave me alone until it gets what it wants. When I got home however I told my mom everything that had happened throughout the last few years. My mom told me that she understood what the figure wanted, I asked her what it was, and she immediately turned away and walked to her room. I still do not know what my mom knows, that I do not know about it. Sometimes, while I lay in bed the figure haunts, my dreams at the foster home that I am in, the other night for example I woke up in horror because I had seen the figure in a dream. I do not understand what it wants.

Ouija Board Horror

September 20th, 1999

Late in the afternoon.
I have seen ghosts other times before too. For example, there was the time when I was looking at some old things that had belonged to my dad. I came across a Ouija board. At the time, I did not know what it was as I was only about 9 years old. There was a bunch of old boxes upstairs that I was rummaging through, and I came across the Ouija board, I did not know what it was. Anyways I was asking questions to it, and the little arrow thing started to move. I screamed to my dad saying that there was a ghost in the room. He was really scared when he entered the room. I did not understand why he took the board from in front of me, and took it outside and burned it. I cried but when my dad said it was evil, I understood.

What Is That Jumping On The Trailer!

Late one night, just this past August (2005), we had an encounter that scared the whole family. For once, my husband was home to experience it.

It was around 11 pm, and I had just gone to bed from watching TV. My husband and the four older kids were still up watching TV in the living room.

All was quiet, and then all of a sudden, there was a loud crash sound right above my head. I thought for sure that a tree had fallen on top and was about to come through the roof. Whatever it was, hit so hard, it shook the trailer from one end to the other. After the loud crash sound, I heard something "slide" down the end of the trailer, right where my head was. I was thinking, a tree limb? Then I remembered there are no trees close enough to hit the trailer.

I jumped up out of bed and ran into the living room. They heard it too, they were looking around, and asking me what was that! The dogs were barking madly outside. My husband grabbed the only flashlight in the house. It was dead. (Oh, he was mad!) He threw on his shoes and ran out the door. I ran to the back door and went out on the deck. The dogs were still barking like crazy, looking toward the end of the trailer, where we heard a crash sound. There was not much light, since the back door light did not shine much out into the yard. My husband could not see anything; it was so dark, so he came inside.

The next morning we went outside and looked at the end of the trailer. There were no trees that had fallen or nothing else out of place.

Then, I went up into the house we were building, which stands two stories above the trailer. I could get a good look at the top to see if anything was out of the ordinary.

Sure enough, on the very end of the trailer roof, there are crumpled dents. It looks like something big had tried to jump up on top and grabbed the ends and crumpled one side. Those dents were not there the day before.

This experience happened a while ago. I'm thinking Fall of 2001 but I'm not really sure. I live in a house on top of a mountain deep in the woods in Southwest Virginia in the southern Appalachians and I also work part time in a drug Rehab Center. I mostly work evening and night shift. If you can imagine, working in a place like that really gets to you after a while. So I have sort of a ritual to unwind after a day at work. I'll go into my back yard and listen to my portable CD player, walk around and more or less chain smoke until I can unwind.

One night after a 3:00-11:00pm shift, I started my unwinding ritual. The leaves on the trees were turning and the ground was covered in frost with a quarter moon shining down. Overall there was nothing different about that night. It was the same ole "stuff" different day kinda thing. I had been walking around for about an hour or so listening to my CDs when a rush of panic flooded over me. I say flood because I compare it to when you just first jump into a swimming pool on a hot July day. When you're hot and sweaty and when you hit the cool water your body kinda goes into a temporary shock. My body on this night went into total fear shock!

The only movement I could make was to use my thumb to pause my CD player. I stood there silently for at least 3 or 4 minutes darting my eyes around looking for anything that would show the root of my fear. I could not find anything. Nothing was out of place, nada. I actually started thinking I was having a medical problem. I had thought that the smokes had finally started doing me in, lol.

I had begun to break free of the shock and was making my way to my house when I looked up and saw my dogs. My dogs were two Beagles, and if any of you have Beagles, you know how they love to bark. They will bark at anything that crosses into eyesight. The weird thing was though, they weren't barking. They were afraid. They had their head and shoulders to the ground and were slinking their way to the front of my house, as if they had been scolded. This scared me badly. I knew then it wasn't just me, therefore it wasn't medical. There was something out there that I could sense, but the dogs could smell. I went back into my fear shock.

I stood watching, waiting, and listening. Minutes went by and still nothing. I really felt stupid, kinda like it was when I was real young and thought the sounds of the house settling was something walking on the roof. So I started making my way towards my house. As I was making my way towards the house the absolute most blackest, cruelest, and satanic scream came from my woods about a hundred or so yards away. The sound is indescribable. It was neither high pitched nor low toned but both at the same time. It sounded neither human nor animal either. It was an indescribable sound coming from a faceless entity. Imagine cracking open the roof of hell itself and seeing one of the souls burning and hearing the agony of the blistering heat of the flames. That gives you a general idea.

My fear at the point was also indescribable. I have been in car wrecks and near car wrecks. I have been shot at and fallen from high places. I was also afraid of those things, but this was a whole other kind of fear. It felt like my skin was ice and my blood was boiling. I could have given you an injection with one of the thin hairs on my arm. The scream stopped and after about 5 seconds I broke off running toward my house. As I made my way to the front door, it screamed one last time. Almost to say, 'I see you!''

I went into the house and laid on the living room floor in a near fetus like position. I laid perfectly still and stayed quiet. My Dad was on the couch asleep just about 4 feet away. I didn't wake him though. The reason I didn't wake him wasn't because I was afraid he wouldn't believe me (even though I knew he wouldn't), but because I was afraid the screaming thing would hear me or see me move. After that night, I didn't go outside for a while. After a few days I got over the scream and started my nightly ritual again.
