About a few years ago maybe, we went out of town
to go to a theme park. I was about 13 or 14 at the
time. We chose to stay at this hotel behind a
Pizza Hut because we had just finished eating
there and it was really late. There were 5 of us,
my cousin (lets call him Jacob), his friend (and
we can call him Louis), my grandfather, and
Louis's mother, and me. So there were a bunch of
us tired, wanted to hurry and get into a hotel.
As
we pulled up to the hotel and my grandfather went
to check us in I stared down the hallway inside
the hotel while in the truck. Due to resent visits
to this site at the time the first thing that
popped out of my mouth when I looked down the
hallway was "this hotel looks like it's haunted"
then Louis's mother said that it look haunted to
her too. Of course I tried to blow it off so I
wouldn't embarrass myself.
Now in my room (which I had all to myself sadly)I
had a few problems with the light, it would
flicker about 8 times before it fully turned on.
Being somewhat freaked out by the light, I turned
around and walked next door to my grandfathers
room and asked if Louis's mom would stay in my
room with me (but I did not mention the fact that
I was afraid of my room).
Once again in my room, (this time situated with
the bathroom light on and the TV on) I began to
watch some TV as Mrs. Thomas (a name for Louis's
mother) went next door to talk to my grandfather
for a while. At this point in time I began to
relax a bit.
From my bed you could see into the bathroom (if
the door was open that is) by looking in the
mirror, and I soon began to see stuff reflect in
the mirror out of the corner of my eye. Starting
to feel uneasy I got up and left the room.
I went down to the vending machines and got some M
& M's I believe, then went back to my grandfathers
room and sat on a bed in there and ate my snack
while looking at some brochures I had picked up
from the lobby at some point in time trying to
stay out of my room as much as possible.
Eventually I had to go to the bathroom, so I did.
But while in the bathroom I kept hearing clicking
noises. I assumed they were coming from the air
vent, but still uneasy I hurried up, finished my
business, and left the bathroom. Still curious I
went back to my room, walked into my own bathroom,
(which is adjacent to the bathroom in my
grandfathers room) and went to see if I could hear
anything, But hear nothing. Starting to think I
was just overreacting about everything I went to
see what the boys were up to since they were right
across the hall.
As usual their room was a mess so
I backed out. Later on that night while once again
watching TV, the boys come and invade my room.
At this point I was overly paranoid, tired, and
did not want my room looking like trash so I got
mad and went next door starting to bang on my
grandfathers door, there was no answer so I
figured he had already went to bed. But because I
really did not want to go back to my room I nearly
feel asleep in the hall.
Soon my grandfather opened the door and I asked if
I could stay in his room that night. When I got in
there it was freezing cold but I was so tired I
could've cared less how cold it was.
When I woke up the room was empty, but I knew that
they were in the lobby getting a cup of coffee.
So as I was lying in bed I decided to take a
picture of me with my phone. I had my back facing
towards the nightstand that was in the middle of
the two beds and I took my picture. As I looked at
it I noticed a head between me and the nightstand.
Freaking out at this point I saved it for later
reference and ran to the lobby in my boxer shorts
and my shirt that is super small on me and I
didn't even have a bra on. Everyone stunned about
how I looked as I walked through the lobby door
asked if something was wrong. All I said was "when
are we leaving?” A bit embarrassed about my
appearance I went back to my own room and got my
clothes and got dressed. On our way to the theme
park I decided to look at the picture that had
freaked me out so badly, but all I saw was me.
I don’t know if I over reacted that weekend or
something, or if there really WAS something there.
I’ve been to that same hotel about 3 times after
that visit and have been calm as ever. Each time I
went we were in a different area. But each time we
almost got kicked out of the hotel from being “too
loud”.
