PRESENCE

This happened years ago in a place I lived when I was a kid of about 8 or 9. It was in a small town called Premont in south Texas. I had always been scared to be in the house alone. I felt this weird presence around me when I was in the house. I had to share a room with my brother at the time. We had separate beds and his was on the other side of the room. One night as I was just about to to get into my bed (I was the last person to bed this night) I hear this buzzing sound coming from outside. The house was old and I figured it was probably nothing. I was always rational and never believed in ghosts. As I climbed into bed the noise got louder. Then I started to panic a little. The basement was located down the hall (three rooms down from mine and my brothers) and I heard the door creak open. I was very scared now because everyone else was asleep and the only other people in the house besides my brother and I were my parents, who were also asleep. I ran to my brothers bed and tried to wake him up to tell him what I was heard, but he wouldn't wake up. I panicked and started shaking him but I still couldn't wake him up. At that moment I heard footsteps coming down the hall. I was too scared so I did what anybody would do I climbed into bed and pretended to be asleep. I heard the footsteps come closer and into the room. I was under the covers and poked my head out. There was nothing there. That freaked me out big time. Then the room got real cold and and a light breeze blew thought the room. Suddenly the breeze stopped and it wasn't cold anymore. I peeked my head out again. No one was there and everything was silent. Nobody believed me when I told them what had happened but I was glad when we moved two years later. I have tried to forget about the feeling from the cold but it doesn't help.
